Jason and Josh of Blue Moon Bistro decided to do things a little bit different this year for Beaufort Wine and Food, rather than a guest chef they decided to feature their farmers, fishermen, and food producers. I’ve worked with these guys since the early days of JMF and it has always been a pleasure. It was a privilege to have a seat at their table, shared with Bouge Sound Seafood and Harlowe Custom Microgreens.
Thanks to Brassfield Estate for providing lovely pairings for each course. As well as a thank you to the front of the house for excellent table service.
I am by no means an aficionado, but I do like to eat. Nothing but quality and exceptional flavors were displayed throughout the evening in such a pleasant format.
Grilled Blue Oyster Mushrooms were featured on the Brasstowne Beef Ribeye with covington sweet potato and brussel sprout hash, thyme and oyster compound butter, and a red wine demi.

Mush love,
J
