What the Fuzz?
If you have noticed some white "fuzz" at the base of your mushrooms, this is called mycelium. It is nothing to worry about and is actually part of the mushroom. Mycelium, for the lack of a better analogy, is the root system of the mushroom. Still being alive, they are trying to continue to grow. More "fuzz" typically comes with the age of the mushroom in storage. :)
How long do they store?
Any mushroom we sell has been harvested within 3 days. This gives you at least a week of storage in your fridge. With that being said, we have seen beautiful mushrooms past 14 days under proper conditions.
Are these edible?
